Quinoa Chicken

The simple steps:

  1. Add ingredients to crockpot.
  2. Cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours.
  3. Take out chicken and shred with forks.

Girl’s Weekend Getaway: Part III

Well, here we are.

The closing post of our girl’s getaway adventures.

All good things must come to an end.

Mimosas while taking in the view are always a must on the last morning of a vacation. Followed by lots of last minute packing and cleaning.

Our condo was in Folly Beach, but we weren’t able to go explore and see it the previous days. So with a car packed full of luggage, we made a pit stop to check out the beach before heading home.

The end.

Nah, we weren’t ready for the weekend to end just yet. So we decided to make, yet another, pit stop to Savannah. Luckily, one of the girls graduated from SCAD, so we had a personal tour guide showing us some of the hot spots in the charming little town.

We dropped by a charming, eclectic restaurant, Soho South. It was lunch on a Sunday, so there was quite a wait. Luckily the pianist in the background helped ease our eagerness for food! The relaxed atmosphere and fresh entrees easily made this one of our favorite spots of the weekend, before you know it.

We ended the weekend with one last round of the city to take in the scenery!

We all have very different personalities. We disagree at times and pull pranks at each other’s expense. We have supported each other. In heartbreaks, deaths, health problems, and other things life has thrown our way. Then, we have celebrated together! Prom, high school graduations, college graduations, engagements, job advancements, and weddings. Before you know it, we’ll be in the chapter of baby announcements!

When my heart is heavy or stressed, I find my assurance and peace completely in God’s Word. That’s how I find my footing in knowing that He has it under wraps despite whatever battles are going on.

When my nerves are shot and I’m driving myself (and everyone else) crazy, my workouts are where I find that calmness. Despite the fact that I’m not nearly has fast or lean as Shaun T & his crew, I’m still doing it. I’m still able to get out of my head and focus on the exercises and take a time out from everything.

I’ve tried gym sessions, running, yoga, etc. and they just weren’t my niche. It took a LONG time to get to this place and glad I didn’t give up myself. Consistency pays off not just physically, but in mentally.

Three Day Refresh is beast!

I thought I may lose 2-3 pounds. Never would I guess EIGHT pounds and FOUR inches! 😬 I’m kicking myself for not taking progress pictures!

Nutrition is half the battle when trying to shed the pounds and get healthy! This cleanse is legit! Super easy and didn’t feel deprived while fueling my body with foods that my body craves. It’s a NO FAIL plan. I mean 8 pounds people. Crazy!! Think I may just need to make this sucker a quarterly occurrence! Along with the Ultimate Reset!
